HOW TO TEST A REED RELAYS OR TO IDENTIFY A BAD RELAY

In testing a relay you need to know first the characteristic of the relay, if it is normally closed to normally open state relay, you need to use a multimeter " resistance check " to test the contact.

Most of the relays are at normally open state, so if you resistance check the contact pins ( pin 1 and pin 4 ) it must be read OL " OverLoad or no reading .. It is bad if, it is shorted or having a resistance reading between contact pins " kilo ohms " could fail the circuit.
